Pain

Pain is like a plague.
It starts out innocently enough,
But soon it is spreading
Through towns and villages
Bringing chaos and panic throughout.

Pain is like a shadow,
Sneaking and crawling and scratching
At your door.
It moves like it has a mind,
A cold, intelligent, hungry mind.

Pain takes on many forms.
Pain is a knife that slices your hand.
Pain can be your best friend.
Pain is the death of an angel.
Pain knows no barriers.

No matter its form,
When Pain wraps its wings;
Its beautiful, black, ominous wings, around the world,
Nothing will stop it.
And the world will bleed… a dark crimson red.

No one is safe from Pain.
Not you or I
Not God or Satan
Not life.
Not even Pain is safe from itself.

You can, however,
Fight Pain
With love, and kindness, and justice.
You must fight it!
If you don’t , you’ll be like me.

How can you love, when you are like me?
How can you live, when you are like me?
How…
If all you bring to yourself and others;
If all you know…
